Veteran’s Story: Rick was very depressed. Starting drinking and taking drugs. He never wanted to hurt anyone…just himself. He didn’t let friends around know his feelings…but inside he was hurting. He loved being in the Navy. He talked about the service all the time. It was his proudest time of his life. He didn’t feel worthy, nor did he have self-esteem. He felt that everyone would be better off if he wasn’t around to cause pain. So he left us to live a lifetime of pain…missing him.
