Veteran’s Story: My mother is Julia A. Thomas married to T/SGT James R. Thomas-USAF Pararescue M.I.A. since 11/25/71.While she never served in Vietnam, my father has been missing in action since November 25, 1971. Twenty seven years later, twenty seven years of fighting and asking the government for help on bringing him home she gave up her fight to find him the only way she could. She took her own life on November 27, 1997. Please let me know if she can be added to your wall. Since her death, I have been unable to visit my fathers name on the Wall because the one time I tried I kept seeing my mom next to my father’s name.
