Veteran’s Story: January 20th, 1968, hill 881 south….day started with 3 battilion commanders and 200 men..day ended with one battilion commander and 19 men..this is all detailed in the book called the end of the line…my husband was the surviving commader..he never forgotten and after the 30 year reunion could not live with memories…he was a kind, gentle loving man who cared deeply about people and showed his love to many…his children are bright successful and an incredible reflection of him…I am lucky to have had him in my life….this is a war that continues to kill people..how very very sad.
