Veteran’s Story: Ed was wounded several times by rifle fire and grenades – both knees were damaged (along with a few other parts) but he tried to continue – he was most proud of his tour with the LRP’s of 101st Inf as a combat medic – he spent many years as forensic investigator for Mobile PD – too many drugs (prescription and otherwise) to ease the pain in his legs coupled with age-induced overall “can’t get out and do like before” along with bouts of PTSD related problems added up and one day Ed decided “this is all .. . . ” He was a charter member of VVA701 and was the Chapter Legal Affairs Committee Head and a member of the Color Guard. He is and will be missed.
