Bamboo Bridge A growing, international community of veterans of Vietnam and other conflicts has found support, recognition and healing through a weekend training program called The Bamboo Bridge, supported by the nonprofit Bamboo Bridge Foundation and voluntary donations. While many veterans' gatherings can devolve into "top this" storytelling, the Bamboo Bridge weekend provides a safe space in which memories can be heard and understood, losses can be mourned, and traumas can be released. The participants, men and women, experience a homecoming of honor and dignity. Originally founded for Vietnam Veterans, The Bamboo Bridge training is now open to combat veterans of any war. Weekends are hosted in Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, North and South Carolina, New York, and Maryland. Because the Bamboo Bridge leaders believe vets have already paid the price, no fee is charged to attend. www.vetsbridge.org or http://www.execpc.com/~vetsbrdg, or email Christan Kramer at VetsBrdg@ExecPC.Com or Bud Leazenby at leazenby@qserve.net .
